Advanced Integrated Management and Operating System (AIMOS)
AIMOS is a comprehensive monitoring platform for distributed antenna systems (DAS) and repeaters. It provides automated support with robust fault, configuration and inventory management capabilities for all active elements in the system. AIMOS eliminates time and labor associated with manual network management tasks.
Comprehensive DAS management system
Expanded visibility - Integrated OpenStreetMap functionality displays devices on a map for drag-and-drop placement of DAS and repeater systems at building level. Zoom in and out to locate individual units or filter views to show only faulty units, for example. With live tracking of mobile repeaters it is even possible to see inventory location in real time. Loading of multiple bitmaps per object (such as floorplans and coverage simulations) gives an even more detailed view and allows for a thorough alarm impact analysis.
ERA® Signal set viewer and alarm support - The ERA signal set viewer allows tracking of which signals are on and how they are routed through the ERA system. ERA Alarm severities, latencies and thresholds are directly configurable from AIMOS This enables tracking of KPIs, support of service level agreements (SLAs) and even automated task triggering.
Robust analytics and statistics - User-defined and predefined charts show alarms, temperature curves, power output over time and downtime to help troubleshoot and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs).
AIMOS provides intuitive, real-time visibility into all elements of the system.
Designed for operational efficiency
Intuitive GUI - AIMOS offers Windows® and web clients with a customizable graphic user interface (GUI) to quickly identify and modify network elements. Independent tree configurations can be created for each user depending on the user role.
Automated recurring tasks - The task scheduler allows maintenance during low-traffic times without direct manual oversight. Tasks like alarm polling, RF frequency allocation, network element software updates and performance data downloads can be executed at specific times or regular intervals.
Open and Extensible
Alarm forwarding - AIMOS can be integrated into third-party SNMP network management software including HP OpenView®, IBM Netcool® and Nokia NetAct®. Individual alarm recipients can be configured for dedicated alarm distribution, allowing a single AIMOS system to manage network elements from multiple organizations.
Open data format - An auto ODBC Export tool executes queries automatically and writes the results into a CSV file for analysis in other applications. A.I.M.O.S also allows configuration of network elements via third party tools by exporting or importing configuration data in XML format. A SON-SOAP interface allows agile switching of ERA coverage in SON platforms.
AIMOS provides open interfaces to managed elements, multiple clients, and network management systems.
Flexible licensing and deployment models
To meet the operational needs of each organization, CommScope offers multiple ways to license and deploy AIMOS, including a perpetual license, subscription-based license, and cloud-hosted SaaS. A free trial license is also available. Your CommScope representative or system integrator can help you select the most suitable option for your needs.
AIMOS helps ensure in-building cellular network performance while streamlining operation and maintenance.
